ISOPOD LAB Plant-Based Feed is made with selected plant-derived ingredients to complement the natural diet of isopods. It provides an additional source of nutrients alongside the decaying leaves, wood and microorganisms that isopods naturally consume.

In nature, isopods feed on a variety of decomposing plant materials. However, the nutritional content of these materials can vary depending on their source and stage of decomposition. A prepared plant-based feed offers a convenient way to supplement their regular food sources.

The finely processed formulation is designed for easy consumption by isopods of different sizes, including juveniles. It can be offered regularly in controlled portions and alternated with ISOPOD LAB Animal-Based Feed to provide a wider variety of nutrients.

Feeding Guide

Recommended feeding frequency: 2–3 times per week, depending on colony size, feeding activity and the availability of other food sources.

For a varied supplementary feeding routine, ISOPOD LAB recommends:

• Plant-Based Feed: 2 times per week

• Protein-Based Feed: 1 time per week

Adjust the quantity according to the colony's consumption. Begin with a small portion and increase only when necessary.

Use

Place a small amount of Plant-Based Feed onto a feeding plate or a clean, accessible area of the enclosure.

Allow the isopods to feed naturally. Avoid adding excessive amounts, particularly in small or newly established colonies.

Remove uneaten food if it becomes excessively damp, contaminated or begins to spoil.

Plant-Based Feed is intended as a supplementary nutritional source, alongside natural leaf litter, decaying wood, suitable calcium sources and proper habitat care.

Note: Feeding requirements vary between isopod species and colony sizes. The manufacturer's recommended feeding schedule is a general guideline rather than a fixed requirement. This product should not replace the colony's natural decomposing food materials.
