Clear Ventilated Isopod Container

A clear, ventilated enclosure designed for keeping and breeding isopods, springtails and other suitable small terrestrial invertebrates.

The transparent construction gives an unobstructed view of the habitat, making it easy to observe your colony and monitor substrate moisture, food and general enclosure conditions without unnecessary disturbance.

Multiple fine-mesh ventilation ports positioned around the sides provide cross-ventilation while helping to keep small inhabitants contained. The fitted lid is secured with locking clips for convenient access during feeding, misting and maintenance.

Key Features

  • High-visibility clear body — easily observe the habitat and colony

  • Multiple fine-mesh vents — provides cross-ventilation while reducing escape risk

  • Side-positioned ventilation — allows the enclosure to retain a deeper substrate layer

  • Secure locking lid — helps prevent accidental opening and escapes

  • Easy-access design — convenient for feeding, misting and maintenance

  • Generous floor area — space for substrate, cork bark, leaf litter, moss and other habitat materials

  • Easy to clean — simple plastic construction suitable for regular maintenance

Ideal for Isopod Setups

For isopods, add a suitable substrate deep enough to retain moisture and establish a moisture gradient rather than keeping the entire enclosure equally wet.

Complete the habitat with plenty of dried leaf litter for food, cork bark for shelter and a consistently moist area containing moss or suitable moisture-retaining material.

The multiple ventilation points allow air exchange across the enclosure while the substrate and habitat materials help maintain the humid microclimate isopods require.

Suitable For

Isopods • Springtails • Other suitable small terrestrial invertebrates

Species have different requirements for ventilation, humidity and moisture. Adjust the enclosure setup according to the species being kept. Very small juveniles should be monitored around ventilation openings.
