Simple DIY Setup
Arrange the supplied substrate in the container, add the moss to one area to establish the moist side, then position the cork bark, fermented leaves and cuttlefish bone.
The aim is not to keep the entire enclosure equally wet. Maintain a moisture gradient, with one area remaining consistently moist while another is allowed to stay comparatively drier. This gives the isopods access to different microclimates within the same habitat.
Once assembled, the habitat can be further supplemented with additional leaf litter and food according to the requirements of the isopod species being kept.
