Staurogyne repens is a popular, hardy, bright green stem plant used for foreground carpeting or midground bushing in freshwater aquariums. Originating from the Rio Cristalino in Brazil, it is prized for its compact (5–10 cm) stature, small leaves, and ability to form dense, low-growing mats, especially under moderate-to-high light.
